We stayed one night with EF Tours. The beds were hard and the A/C didn't work. I called the front desk about the air. They said it was working and they would be up to look into it - they never came. Thankfully, it wasn't TOO hot that day. The room was clean, the bathroom was fine. There's not an... more

Considering there are over 270 hotels in Montecatini to choose from, and of all categories and price ranges, this hotel offered everything we needed. Easy walk to all attractions; room was cleaned daily, with fresh towels and bedding. The neighbourhood was reasonably quiet. Only complaint would be the constant banging of the wooden doors to every room, including bathroom doors,... more

Hotel Minerva Palace is located on a side street in Montecatini. I had a single room with a mini-bar, it was small but enough for me. My friends had double rooms, some had balconies. The bed was kind of hard so use the extra pillow and blanket found in the armoire. The hotel has an iron, but it's old school... more

I went to Tuscany last week and I spent five days in a very interesting hotel: the Minerva Palace Hotel in Montecatini Terme City. It is a hotel which was built in the liberty style and my room was very comfortable (furniture, tolilet, ect.) with a beautiful view of Montecatini Alto, the old city of Montecatini which takes its name... more

Stayed here for 3 nights as part of a Cosmos tour group. There is no other way I would have ended up staying here! Cannot understand how this place merits a 4 star rating , I would struggle to give it a 3 star! Cosmos should seriously review some of the hotels it chooses, as this must be one of... more

Found the hotel to be charming and comfortable. The staff was helpful and most spoke English passably well. The restaurant however left alot to be desired. We ate at a number of small restaurants in the immediate area. The town has alot of shopping and is convenient for day trips to Siena, San Gimingnano and Florence. Overall, I was quite... more

We spent three nights at this hotel at the end of a Archers Direct tour. The room was a bit dark and depressing but was clean. Our window looked out on a brick wall. The bathroom was a reasonable size and everything worked OK. Staff not particularly friendly. The dinners were not too bad but the breakfasts were so so.The... more

Never mind about the dodgy artwork in the dining room, what was worse was the really awful food served up by the kitchen - a consistently low standard which over a five day stay only got worse... This, with no porterage service, makes a nonsense of its four star rating. Tuscany has surely something better to offer than this. more

I loved the town or Montecatini. This was my first trip to Italy so I did not know what to expect....The hotel was very nice, even the paintings (it is a spa town)and the front was most helpful. When I go back I will try to stay here again. Very pleased more

First, the positives: a delightful, clean room with fridge and (for us at least) a stunning view of the town. We hotel was quiet, even though the sun deck was right outside our room. It was centrally located in the town and the staff provided a map. The negatives: we weren't as thrilled with the food or the service. Breakfast... more
