Great small inn at the top of beautiful Montepulciano. We arrived without most of our luggage and Cinzia really went to bat for us. She spoke with the airline, helped collect our bags, and drove me into town to get a cell phone charger. She could not have been more helpful. The room was large, with great amenities. Locanda San Francesco is ideal in many ways. It can be challenging to stay inside of a hilltop town, but here, it has been made possible. Directions were good and there is parking available. La Locanda lives up to the hype of the other TripAdvisor posts, and then exeeds the expectations. Cinzia and Luca are terrific hosts, but it's their attention to detail that propels this property past the rest. We only stayed for 1 night. The views from our room and the bathroom were incredible! The room was very clean. The owner(s) was friendly and ran the bar/restaurant next door. We had drinks and dinner on the deck while watching the sunset. The food was good and priced well. Next time we are in Montepulciano, we'll definitely be back. more

Superb room with stunning views on the terracotta roofs of Montepulicano and on the surroundings.
