We stayed two nights here. It was very quiet with few other guests in the hotel. Our room was decent sized, clean and nice. The staff was great. This was a nice location to enjoy the area from. We had debated staying in Porto Santo Stefano, but opted for this place with its' quieter setting. It was mid-week and the... More

Restaurant closed. Nice place, nice rooms, wifi didn't work. Expensive. Not sure about the location as it was closed season so not much atmosphere but in the summer probably buzzing? Lob building with lots of character. Breakfast very nice.

Best Value, no. But beautiful room yes. Tucked away from the main traffic flow of Orbetello the size of this hotel (larger number of rooms) was a surprise. We stayed here to explore the area for a few days and were very comfortable, but others in our party were not due to the room configurations. (especially if you pre-book an... More

Nice art deco hotel in orbetello. Probably the most up market hotel in town. Good place to explore the area (but leave your car in orbetello and take the bus - parking is impossible in both Porto Santo Stefano and Porto Hercole). Good breakfast selection. Rooms are quiet but no views available due to hotel location. Beds are hard. Well... More

We stayed here close to the ports of S.Stefano and Porto Ercole so that we could explore the area. It is useful if you are en-route to Isola Giglio. The room was comfortable with a very good bed and large night tables. Unfortunately although advertised, SKY was not available and again no restaurant although advertised. However, we were recommended to... More

You arrive at the hotel and must park your own car. Not a friendly staff. Hotel restaurant nice. Rooms OK.

My partner and I, and my daughter and her 8year old had 4 glorious days in this wonderful Hotel. Everyone, was so friendly, and so helpful, and the Hotel, apart from looking divine, actually is. So clean, and the Breakfasts were such good value and so beautifully presented. They even catered for my Gluten Free needs. And they were so... More

The hotel is located between the two lagunas, but with no view of either, in an historical building. Our room (#115) was situated on the first floor and had an internal view of the breakfast courtyard from the cute little terrace which was quite charming! Our room, a 2-storey loft was clean and nicely decorated, but they tend to keep... More

San Biagio Relais is a four star hotel in the heart of Orbetello. I have to say that I initially was a bit disappointed as I expected a much smaller guest-house style boutique hotel. But it is not. The place is quite large, and also a bit impersonal. But the rooms are clean and neat, the hotel is tidy, and... More

This was the only hotel open in town, so we had no choice. It was VERY nice, but the price reflected how nice it was. They were nice enough to bump the price down from 160 to 140 Euro, but still not exactly what we wanted to pay for a one night stay. However, I say again, it was VERY... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
San Biagio Relais is in Orbetello’s historic centre, set in an aristocratic building perfectly renovated. It offers 41 elegant rooms and suites, some with fresco-ed ceilings, decorated with antique furniture or in a modern style. All bathrooms are in fine marble, fully equipped with bathtub and/or shower. The charming courtyard is perfect for an outdoor breakfast or a drink. Orbetello is situated in the centre of a splendid lagoon linked to the Tyrrhenian Sea in the Maremma region of Tuscany. Close by are the ecological havens like the Maremma Natural Park, the wetlands of the WWF Bird sanctuaries, the Argentario promontory and the two strips of accumulated sand called the tombola that enclose the lagoon of Orbetello and open out onto the sea with their beautiful long sandy beaches (Feniglia and Giannella) In Orbetello, the little piazzas and the quiet lanes with their bars and restaurants come to life in the evening, mainly during the summer. The unique wealth of landscapes is all within cycling distance from Orbetello: an ideal place for those who enjoy open-air sports like swimming, windsurfing, diving, canoeing, sailing, horse riding, running, golfing and of course cycling. There are many boats and ferries to the islands of Giglio and Giannutri. Nearby are the other islands of the archipelago and the coastline of the Maremma National Park, an area with a sea mammal sanctuary that has been established as a Marine Nature Reserve and is a true paradise for lovers of the sea.The surrounding area also offers an extraordinary combination of Italian archeology, art and history with various Etruscan necropolises (distance from Orbetello: Saturnia 55 km, a very well known thermal location; Pitigliano 59 km, picturesque little village of Maremma located on a spur of tufa, falling sheer to green valleys on three sides and it is worth reminding that Pitigliano has become popular as "Little Jerusalem" in Maremma, for the Jewish community living there since the 16th century, whose traces are still visible in the Sinagogue and many other historical buildings; Tarquinia 55 km, a famous Etruscan site; Vulci 55 km; Sorano 24 km, a picturesque medieval village; Sovana 58 km) and museums, Roman archeological sites and medieval and renaissance towns (distance from Orbetello: Viterbo 90 km, Orvieto 100 km, Siena 115 km) and to taste the tuscan wine Morellino of Scansano, we suggest you a visit to the hilltop village of Scansano (about 40 km from Orbetello)Don’t miss to visit the Tarot Garden in Capalbio (about 20 km far away. It is the esoteric sculpture garden created by the artist Niki de Saint Phalle), and to go for a stroll to Porto Ercole (5 km far away) and Porto Santo Stefano (11 km far away) ... more   less
