We had the room closest to the sea and the views were amazing. They blasted out a lot of rock, so there is a sizeable terrace and garden with an incredibly tasty restaurant. It was a really incomparable spot as the rest of the town, and the whole Amalfi coast for that matter, are so vertical. The rooms are not... more

This has got to be the best hotel in Positano. ( If it was somewhere else with more competition around, you may feel a bit disappointed ,as the price linked to the faciliites etc is a bit high) The hotel has so much charm, quirkiness and slightly batty . The situation is perfect, both for the sea and the town.... more

We were moved to Palazzo Murat after Buca di Bacco mixed up our confirmed reservation. It doesn't have as good sea views but has lovely views of the church, houses and gardens. The gardens are a wonderful feature however every night we were there English tourists celebrated their wedding receptions below our window till the early hours which was quite... more

We stayed at the Palazzo Murat during our honeymoon. What a wonderful experience. The restaurant downstairs is fantastic. One wonderful amenity of the hotel was the free boat trip on the hotel's boat! We reserved it and spent a few hours on the water. It was a small, four person boat, and the Captain drove us around the coast and... more

In pedestrianised area, but close ot shops and the beach. However the beach is rather poor, rough shingle, lots of seaweed in the water, so we didn't enjoy swimming much. The hotel was good, with a nice garden including a covered area used as a restaurant extension. Good service, good food, but it's not a cheap hotel. more

Stayed 3 nights while we got married and had our reception there in the private courtyard at the bottom of the garden. Perfect venue, stunning location and views back up into the village, and the garden is magical at night. Room was spectacular too, we went for the special and it was, unique and amazing views, though more charming than... more

We had a lovely time at the Palazzo Murat, I would highly recommend it, it was the perfect end to a walking holiday along the Amalfi Coast. We had dinner in the hotel courtyard on the last night of our holidays and the food and service were great. The courtyard was lit with lovely big candles and lights - perfect!... more

Very nice place to stay, located on busy pedestrian way but once you enter the courtyard the rest of the world fades away. Rooms are cool, clean and comfortable with nice balcony. Wonderful to relax after a day on the water or at the beach Staff was friendly and couldn't be more helpful. Nice touch was tote bag with towels... more

Just back from 5 nights at the Palazzo Murat. Loved every minute of our stay in Positano and at the Murat. Stayed in Superior double room 29. Beautifully decorated with everything we expected. Sky TV was a bonus and a balcony with views of Positano ans the sea to the side. Breakfast was fantastic with everything one could want, all... more
