My boyfriend and I stayed in this hostel during May 2007. We booked, over the internet, a private room, thinking we were getting a great deal for such an expensive destination. Upon arriving, we were greeted by Christina (the owner) and the filth of reception. After confirming we were staying for 3 nights, she asked us to follow her to... more

Brikette is a wonderful place to stay. This was the 2nd time we've stayed here and we bought our parents who also absolutely adored it. Cristiana is hilarious and we loved her, her dog is beautiful and the other staff were very sweet. The drinks are cheap and it's wonderful to get delicious coffee and a croissant in the morning.... more

My friend and I stayed in this hotel/hostel for 3 nights in June 2006 in a Double Room with a shared bathroom and our overall experience was pleasant. One thing however must be said, the dorms (i.e. shared rooms), should be avoided at all costs. While they are cheaper- you will DEFINETLY regret not paying the extra 10-15 Euros a... more

An amazing view, friendly staff!, personal touch, going the extra mile whenever possibly, and an adorable puppy! Firstly - I stayed at the hostel twice over my year long trip around the world. I have seen my fair share of amazing hostels and crap holes in the wall! Brikette manages to find the way of making you feel at home... more

My friend and I stayed in one of their seaview private rooms for 2 nights in July. It is quite a journey to get to this place so 2 days was definitely not enough, especially since you need to check out the Island of Capri. Anyways although the room was small, we had a gorgeous view, met a lot of... more

Careful with Hostel Brikette, especially the owner During 30 days of travelling in Italy, hostel brikette was definitely the worst stay. Me and my girlfriend booked a room with a double bed. When we arrived we were assigned a room with two single beds insted of the double bed . The other doublue rooms looked okay, But for our room... more

Stayed for 5 nights in this hostel was great. Positano is an incredible city and this hostel represents it well. Cheap drinks at the hostel bar and incredibly friendly and english speaking staff. Will definetly visit this hostel again next time I am in South italy. more

It's a good option for the money and we would recommend it with some caveats. If you're getting a private room spring for one with seaview and a bathroom. We had one facing a stone wall. It was musty and didn't get much air. Also it was almost impossible to get in the bathroom. The private rooms upstairs (without private... more

One of the finest hostels I have ever stayed in. Watched the most beautiful sunset from the giant balcony of our 6 bed dorm. Could not get over the view. Even eating included breakfast out on the balcony was amazing. All for €20 a night!!! Only 10 mins walk from bus stop (pretty scary road though) but definately, definately worth... more

My husband and I travelled through Italy for 5 weeks in May of 2005. We stayed in 13 budget hotels and hostels during this trip. We stayed at this Hostel for 3 nights. We by no means had high expectations of any of these places. The good points; an awesome view from the balcony, inexpensive, easy to find from the... more
