The Grand Hotel Tritone was so beautiful; every room has a view. It is impeccably clean. Our room was very large, had loads of closet space and a very broad sink counter (so different from the bathrooms usually encountered in Europe). Yes, finding your room is a bit like running a maze but it only takes a time or two... more

this hotel is fantastic -positioned between praiano and positano. had the most fantastic views, we had a sea view balcony room! if your going to stay here, it's probably the best and worth the money! breathe taking views, quite a good sized room! most places in italy you wouldn't expect a modern glamorous room, and normally very basic. this room... more

Stayed on this magnificent coastline with our family including two young children. The hotel is a nightmare for families with young kids. Flights of stairs with no lifts exist to all floors. Families with pushchairs should prepare for a weight lifting exercise. To travel from the rooms to the beach involves taking 4 elevators and a flight of stairs from... more

As has been said by other critics, the best points of the hotel are its view and location. Sitting every evening on the terrace with a glass of Campari Orange (that's with freshly squeezed orange juice, please), looking out over the coast and on the bit of Capri that is visible from nearly everywhere in the hotel, no street noise,... more

We stayed in this amazing place for 4 nights in September. The hotel is located on a cliff with a marvelous view. We stayed in a suite which was huge and very comfertable. On the first evening we had dinner in the hotel and it was my wife's birthday. On a short notice we were served with free champagne and... more

The views from this hotel are spectacular and the pool area on the water front is a lovely spot to soak up the sun. However apart from that, this hotel is supremely disappointing and over priced. - Poor & rude service The reception staff were surly and unhelpful. Questions were answered abruptly and as if they were doing you a... more

We stayed here for 3 nights last week and couldn't wait to leave. The staff were appalling, rude and inefficient. We felt as if our arrival was a huge inconvenience. We weren't best pleased when we found that we had twin beds especially as they had been informed it was our 1st Wedding Anniversary!! The only good part was the... more

I really wish we hadnt been misled by the tripadvisor reviews from June 2007 and prior. The August 2007 reviews are much more accurate! We have never experienced such rude and indifferent staff...I am a vegetarian and was served pasta with sausage (when i had ordered I specifically stated that i ate no meat or fish, and my concerns were... more

A great location with stunning views, but this hotel has lost its way, poor food, poor staff , yes we also had no help with our cases when leaving, and beleive me, you need help with all those stairs and lifts, (3 flights of stairs, and 3 lifts to get to and from your room!!)The food was well below parr... more

We booked a junior suite at the Tritone for 2 weeks. Junior suites are priced at 400euros a night. We were greeted by a surly doorman, who ignored us and didn't even trouble to help us with our luggage or point us in the direction of the reception which is via an unmarked lift. When we got to reception, the... more
