We stayed for 4 nights during August 2008. After a tiring walk up a few hundred steps with our bags (there were no porters in sight when we arrived on the ferry), we arrived at the entrance to Villa Nettuno, only to be faced with more stairs to reach the front door! When we finally made it, we were warmly... more

This is a great place to stay in Positano. The location is wonderful as it is halfway up the hill so there are stunning views from every room. The owner of the hotel is lovely and was always there to direct us to a good spot to eat or give us transport advice. The rooms were perfect: for 90 euros... more

Claudio, the owner, is friendly and incredibly helpful. You pass the door to his family apartment daily and his loved ones offer a heartfelt greeting, an umbrella or a bottle opener if you are without. The room we stayed in was huge; by far the largest we stayed at in Italy. (Room #27 from memory with the bougainvillea under its... more

I recently returned from a week at Villa Nettuno - really lovely, no complaints at all! Cleaned daily, comfy bed, decent bathroom - great all round! The room was a decent size, with a wardrobe and small fridge, the view from our balcony onto the sea was gorgeous! The owner and his nephew Antonio are v helpful and chatty, offering... more

this hotel was reffered to us by friends We stayed on the upper level (only 2 levels). The rooms have 1960s furnature but are extreamly clean and large. All the top floor has balconies that look over positano (maybe the best view i have seen there). i would recommend the upper rooms than the ground florr rooms, they both have... more

Villa Nettuno is a wonderful and spacious guesthouse with some of the best views in Positano. The rooms on the lower floor are older but extremely large and charming and have a balcony the size of most guesthouses. the view takes in some of the most breathtaking mountains you will ever see. The upper rooms are smaller but have been... more

I must echo the other fantastic reviews of this accommodation. The views from the rooms are spectacular (book the upstairs rooms if possible, an extra 10 euros but worth it) the building is ramshackle but stunning and the welcome is wonderful. There is a little supermarket up the road which stocks all the basics and you will want to enjoy... more

We stayed at Villa Nettuno for 5 nights as part of our honeymoon. The owner, Claudio was more than welcoming and accomodated any of our requests. Upon arriving there, and hiking up the stairs (which are unavoidable anywhere in Positano) And enter your room, you are immediately left breathless at the view. It is worth the room rates on its... more

This hotel is great value, in a great spot overlooking the bay. It has real charm, the entrance lies up a stepped garden (three flights as I recall!) and is like stepping back in time. The family are really friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. Apparently there is an older frescoed bit and a newer conversion. We were in... more
