My sister and I stayed at Villa la Quercia for 3 nights in June 2009. The B&B is located a short walk from the main road where we were dropped off. We were met by our gratious host Carmella who assisted with our luggage (thankfully Carmella's husband was able to transport our luggage back to the main road upon departure).... more

We stayed at Villa La Quercia in early April. It's located in Nocelle - a 20-min bus ride from Positano. Why stay there? Unbelievable views, privacy, tranquility, hospitable hosts, the best cappuccino in the world. We took day trips - to Positano, to Sorrento, and went on a Walk of Gods (a 4-hour spectacular, medium-difficulty hike through the mountains, with... more

We so enjoyed our stay here. Getting to the actual building was quite an adventure. You have to walk down tons of stairs into the village of Nocelle once you got to the car park. However, the family that owns the B&B met us at the car park and helped us carry all of our luggage down all the stairs... more

We stayed here in July 08 for five nights. The place was great with stunning views over Positano. The owners were very friendly and made the stay more enjoyable. For those who don't want to eat in Positano there is a restaurant in Nocelle a few minutes walk from Villa La Quercia - Ristorante Santa Croce which has great food... more

Villa La Quercia was a true gem of a find. I had heard about Positano from a friend and was researching hotels in town but it was completely overwhelming and so expensive. After looking online at another couple's review of this place we decided to give it a try. It was a new experience booking the reservation too because they... more

My girlfriend and I stayed at Villa la Quercia in June 2007. It is incredible. The views from our room where simply breathtaking and one of the most memorable parts of my trip. The rooms themselves are lovely, clean and have private clean bathrooms. Breakfast is served on the terrace (whilst enjoying the view) by the owner who is a... more

Beautiful rooms, all are clean and spacious with good ensuite, and have stunning terrace views over Positano - great value (70 euros/double) for a generally overpriced part of Italy. Be sure to book ahead in summer! Staff are friendly and helpful. It smells and sounds like the country, quite different to tourist infested Positano. Getting there and back was a... more

Stunning views and very relaxing. As the Italians say, "Tranquila. Dormire e basta'. A bit of a hike from Positano but well worth escaping the hustle of touristier parts of town. Salvatore and Zdravka (she calls herself Franca) were very pleasant. Breakfast was coffee, a bread roll (panino), with nutella. Spectacular views only rivalled by Ravello. The neighbours have a... more

After overpaying for a back room that had a view of an ugly roof in Positano, we decided to give Nocelle, a little mountain town close by, a try. We knew we had made the right decision when we saw the magnificent view of the Amalfi Coast from our room. We stayed in room #6, which had a nice balcony... more
