My sister and I stayed and attended my friends wedding at the Villa Cimbrone in April. I cannot stress how beautiful the whole place is. We loved Ravello but what made our trip so special was staying at the Villa Cimbrone. Our room (24 ) had beautiful views of the coast during the day but quite magical ones at night.... more

My husband and I were married in the Ravello town hall, and hosted a small reception at the Villa Cimbrone. Breathtaking, beautiful, old world grace, above and beyond all expectations - I cannot find enough words to describe the property, the buildings, the views and the gardens. This is the exact picture I had in my mind of what the... more

Paradise on the edge of the world. Small Intimate, Romantic. Superb food. We had a suite with a balcony with views that you thought not possible. You almost feel you are in your own private Villa and grounds. Ravello is special. However we stayed 4 nights, which we felt was 2 nights to long, there was nothing wrong, but it... more

We have been staying in this hotel for 3 nights in April/May 2007 and this is certainly the best hotel on the Amalfi coast. We got a large room with nice furniture and a large private terrace facing the ocean where we had breakfast. The service was friendly and excellent. There is also a very good restaurant which could get... more

Incredible!!! My family (all 16 of us, including 8 kids) rented the whole hotel out and it was amazing. What a beautiful setting soaked in history and coastal beauty. The gardens are serene and gorgeous. The service was excellent. The breakfast on the terrace overlooking the whole Amalfi coast was unforgettable. I can't wait to go back. Be warned that... more

I also decided to stay here for four nights, during my honeymoon - and I have to say that for all its good points, the Villa Cimbrone also has a few disappointments. I'll list both and let you make your own mind up! First of all, good points: the Villa itself is stunning and the gardens are beyond belief. People... more

It is hard to articulate how spectacular our visit to Villa Cimbrone was. We stayed at Villa Cimbrone 3 nights of our 10 night Italy vacation. It was definitely the highlight of our trip. The property is absolutely exquisite and beautiful. I've stayed at many 5-star hotels and what makes this one so unique is the timelessness of the property,... more

We stayed at the Villa Cimbrone during our honeymoon June 2005. It was truly amazing! We has the Greta Garbo Suite which was the largest room we have ever stayed in with the most gorgeous handpainted tiled floors and bathroom walls. One of the best parts about staying at this villa is the private use of the expansive gardens at... more

We went to Italy on our honeymoon in May 2006 and stayed at a number of hotels some exclusive and some not - whilst travelling the length and breadth of the country - however our stay at the Villa Cimbrone was the place we had looked forward to the most, but as you will read on, it became the most... more

I recently stayed at the Villa Cimbrone and it was absolutely magical from the moment we walked in the huge wooden door at the entrance. It's a small family owned villa with the most incredible history, set high on a hill overlooking the amalfi coast. It was once owned by the King of Sicily, and Greta Garbo had a room... more
