Very good, peaceful family-run hotel located far enough from the center of the village in the middle of wineyards. The owner family was very friendly and helpful.
We had a two-bedroom apartment, that was excellent choice for a family with 3 teenagers.
I think, you need a car if you stay in Residence Filanda. Even the center of Riva del Garda was too far to walk for us. In any case, you’d miss a lot to see if you don’t have a car. Overall, Riva del Garda is a wonderful place.
There are at least three good places to eat within a walking distance (300 – 800m) and a pub. Our favorite place was La Colombera.
The pool is large and was not too crowded during our visit: there were always unreserved sunchairs.
Even Venice is within a daytrip distance. We were there on Monday 29 June, that was not supposed to be a busy day. We left the hotel pretty early and were in Venice at about 10 o’clock. We parked our car to a large parking facility at Piazzale...
