Hotel's Favourite
5.0 of 5 bubbles
The management of this hotel couldn’t be any nicer. They genuinely cared about their guest experience and I won’t bore you with the countless times I saw them show compassion towards myself and other guests just take my word for it. The staff followed that lead. The rooms were the cleanest I have ever experienced staying in a hotel and believe me when I say I check for dust behind dressers and under beds to see how well the rooms are cleaned.
This place is geared towards families with small children. They have everything a kid could ever want including pool toys and safety swim arms if you forgot your own. The playground so close to dining area which made it easy when they were done to go outside.
Our kids loved this place!
My picky traveler side comments which you can discount just laugh if you disagree:
Tyrollean food is not our favorite but they have a selection of meats, cheeses, and fruit along with salads which gave us other options. This is unavoidable in this area. I think?
We wish the pool was open later (closes at 7 pm) and the spa window was also too short for our liking. It opens late and closes early. I would have loved to use after kids went to bed. I guess this is good for sleeping children but bad when your child still wants to swim after dinner. The childcare was great but my children were bored with it after the 2nd day so we couldn’t get them to go back. Big bummer! They are 5&6 and felt to many babies were in there. It would have been nice to see this separated toddlers and babies away from young children. I guess it would be like a teenager having to play with kids my age. The dining room was stuffy hot and we wish they would have opened the doors to let beautiful fresh air in. There was also no outside dining option for dinner which was a total disappointment for the summer weather. Maybe due to flies inside but they could get some sort of screens and open the sliders. Maybe it’s just because I’m American and Europeans don’t mind being sweaty eating. We would also have Amazon”ed” a fan before our stay for the room. There is no a/c and some nights no breeze or cross ventilation. I don’t like sleeping hot and sweaty either. The beds were a little hard like Japanese hard which is also not the most comfortable thing for me. I asked for an extra comforter to get more padding. These would be the only reason we will try another place when we return. If our review was soley based on hospitality we would come here again and again!
This is also why I give 5 not to bring down a rating because maybe I’m just too picky with above comments.

If you are looking for a high quality family vacation look no further! We are not new to great hotels but this was our first trip with our 10 month old daughter and the Post-Alpina made everything simple. We wanted a quality hotel that wouldn’t make us feel uncomfortable with a crying baby or a baby making a mess. No need to bring a high-chair or even baby food...they take care of everything from bibs at dinner to making baby their first meals with no salt.
Our room was actually a little apartment with a kitchen and so we were also free to fix snacks and lunch for our child. There is also a mini club for children 3 and up and judging the other kid’s faces they seemed very happy (Pina the hotel’s mascot definitely was part of the happiness). Private babysitting is also available and allowed us to take 2 hours for ourselves.
We enjoyed the pool and the toys available for the kids in the baby pool. Unfortunately because of Covid we could not use the spa except for the sauna.
The staff were welcoming and always sweet with the baby making us feel right at home.
We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast and dinner, the food is really delicious.
The hotel’s position was also perfect for our vacation, it is less than 100 meters from the ski lift for mount Elmo, a big bike rental shop, the Versciaco train station and the bike route that leads to Lienz.

Our family recently enjoyed an incredible five-night stay at Hotel Post Alpina. The apartment was spotlessly clean and fulfilled all our requirements, providing ample space for our little one to play and explore. The hotel's perfect location was a hiker's dream, with breathtaking trails at our doorstep and the iconic "Drei Zinnen" within easy reach.

The hotel staff were exceptional, displaying utmost politeness and accommodating our every need. Their friendly and attentive service made us feel welcome and valued throughout our stay. We were pleasantly surprised by the excellent price-quality ratio, as the level of comfort, cleanliness, and service surpassed our expectations.

In summary, our family getaway at Hotel Post Alpina was simply unforgettable. The immaculate apartment, ideal location for hiking and visiting "Drei Zinnen," the courteous and accommodating staff, and the outstanding value for money made it a truly exceptional experience. We wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Post Alpina to anyone seeking a memorable vacation. Thank you, Hotel Post Alpina, for making our stay truly remarkable!

We love Post Alpina! This hotel felt like someone had thought about all the things that don't quite work for families in hotels usually, and ironed them all out. 2 examples - they have pool robes for every size of child; if you choose you can get takeaway dinner in your room/chalet which was so nice. Its in a stunning spot in the Dolomites, lots to explore nearby, in an ingenious building with expansive car park underneath, enthusiastic staff and great food. Our kids loved the miniclub leaving us the chance to explore the high country. Everything is here for preschool families - hiking baby carriers, buggies, cot.... You could just turn up!
Also, for us adults, they have hiking poles to borrow, a hiking guide and a ski hire shop in the basement for winter. Everything is easy. The attention to detail kept surprising us - even the kids colouring pencils were freshly sharpened at dinner every night!
The chalet was really spacious and well designed/ decorated. We truly didn't want to leave.
Well done Post Alpina.

Wonderful hotel, located directly on the slopes.
This is the second time we have visited this hotel and we will definitely visit it in the coming years. Very clean, comfortable and spacious apartments. High-level service and everything flawless. The hotel is focused on children – the smaller ones and the older ones, but they do not forget about adults – superb relaxation room and the best spa I have ever been to. The massage was so perfect – the best in my life. After a few hours on the slopes, you can relax well.
Outstanding food. Separate children's menu and flexible approach to noneaters😊 6-course dinners are my family’s favorite point of the day (probably even better than skiing on wonderful sunny slopes)
In addition, the service – unusual, warm, joyful people always smiling, Very helpfull and caring. The owners are present and look after everything which obviously pay off. You can feel at home there I recommend it with all my heart😊

First time for my family in this lovely family tailor made very nice hotel. Beautiful chalet, very close to the sky slopes, perfect for children, excellent services (wellness, swimming pool, kids club, etc).
Very gentle and nice persons (especially Andreas). We'll come back next year! Only cons the high prices for the high season weeks 25/12 - 8/01 so if you have the chance I strongly suggest going between 9/01 and the end of Jan

We spent there 1 week with our baby girl. The place is beautiful and well organized. All the staff is very gentle and the owners are a lovely couple, taking care of all guests and very helpful. The hotel has all the equipments needed to go hiking with small kids. The pool area is very nice. Food is good. Next to the hotel you can take the cable car and go up to the Mountain for a very cool walk and amazing view.
We will come back!

We have spent there one week in Winter every year for more than 10 years, now. The resort is very comfortable and well organized. The Chalets have all the amenities. The pool and sauna area is cosy, there is a convenient access to the ski slopes. But most of all the staff is welcoming and the owners are very kind and give attention to every detail.

Please stay like this! We will definitely be back next year.
