Be inspired by the welcoming atmosphere, the attention to details, a flawless service, be ready to get the most out of your stay in the Sorrento Coast at the Majestic Palace Hotel! Located along the Sorrento Bay , in a residential area dedicated to American writer Francis Marion Crawford, the Hotel is based in Sant'Agnello, in the heart of the Sorrento Peninsula, less than 15 minutes from Piazza Tasso, the main square of Sorrento. It looks like as an imposing manor house that follows the typical architectural feature of the coast, well framed between the heights of the Gulf of Naples, with an eye to the sea and Vesuvius. A path of discovery winds through its rooms that leads from the park to the roof. Built in the late 1960s, the Majestic Palace is a four-star hotel with 90 bright and spacious rooms, most of them recently renovated, all featuring a large private balcony with a terrific view of the hotel's private swimming pool or on the massive private garden of over 10,000sqm, with centuries-old orange, lemon and olive trees. Enjoy a panoramic view of the Gulf of Naples and Mount Vesuvius by booking a Superior or Deluxe room, located on the highest floors of the hotel. All rooms are equipped with a modern courtesy line, air conditioning and heating, comfortable beds, flat screen TV with satellite channels, minibar, safe and free broad band Wi-Fi connection. The gastronomic experience that you can live here at the Majestic Palace will blow your mind up and remain etched in your memories for a long time. The opportunity not to be missed is to experience a one-of-a-kind gourmet experience by booking a table at the Michelin-star Don Geppi Restaurant. Another highlight of the property is the Dry Martini Sorrento cocktail bar by Javier de las Muelas, with two locations, the Dry Martini Main Hall and the Dry Martini Terrace Cocktail Bar located on our panoramic terrace, where you can be part of a truly unforgettable experience. with a selection of over 200 cocktails, proposed by our one and only host Mr Lucio D'Orsi.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Even though it was built in the late 1960’s the hotel has a pleasant atmosphere with a hint of Grand Hotel elegance of the past. Stayed in a very nice Classic Double on 3rd floor with garden view, elegant decor and a comfy bed. Nice, green pool area on the front of the hotel and a huge, park-like garden on the back. Very good reception service. Breakfast quite varied with many choices, served in the bright and nicely decorated restaurant. The only negative: The loud music (bassdrum) from the roof terrace bar, audible several floors down. Restaurant ’da Peppino’ close to the train station is worth a visit with local atmosphere and good food.

This is a beautifully structured hotel with lots of potential. The amenities and services were very poor, particularly the internet. The rooftop bar, which was one of the main things we were looking forward to experiencing was closed all 3 nights. The weather was just perfect for two of those nights. The beds are very hard and there was 2 sheets and a very small blanket on it. The Dry Martini Bar is beautiful and a great experience with amazing cocktails and spirits. The morning breakfast buffet was also very nice.

We had a really enjoyable stay at this hotel, the public areas are beautiful, our room was freshly decorated with a comfy bed and was absolutely spotless probably the cleanest I have ever stayed in. The staff were all really friendly and greeted us each day. The bar staff were really friendly and special mention to Antonio who is excellent at his job. Yes the rooftop bar is more expensive but a lovely experience , thank you xx

Totally agree with below negative comments. Some rude staff, but Anna was great on reception. Manageress attitude is a disgrace and she is very rude & aggressive. Pool freezing cold next to the road and it’s noisy. Also had to pay for pool towels. Rooftop dry martini bar, waiter is rude and not allowed to sit down without buying a drink!!! Total rip off, cheaper at the bar downstairs. Not allowed to move furniture to sit together without getting told off. Downstairs bar was open however, we got told to move inside as we were disturbing other residents in their rooms, at 10.15pm (no signs to state we couldn’t sit outside) as open. Lookalike Johnny Depp served us who was very friendly. The lifeguard is very friendly and helpful. Shame about the others. I had to upgrade my room because of my four month old daughter therefore I had to pay An extra £300 for a cot as other family members had the same room for a cheaper price!! Quite a few comments about plug sockets in the rooms not working family members said they only had 2 working. Not sure what the differences between a comfort room and a superior room as they are both the same!! Some of the rooms are facing the main road so they are very noisy traffic, bins been emptied, etc Thin walls you can hear your next door conversations and noise above from other rooms . Overall, I would not recommend to stay here unfortunately .

Great hotel just outside of Sorrento. 5 minutes walk to the bus stop then 5 mins on the bus to the centre . Pool area was never busy and always got a sunbed . Pool is cold but refreshing. The downstairs bar is excellent and run well by Antonio who is a master at cocktails. We had a classic room which was very comfortable. Breakfast decent and everything we needed . We used the hotel as a base to visit the Amalfi coastline and this worked very well . You can walk in to town which we did but the roads are very busy so keep to the small pavement. Pool chap also lovely always had a word to say and kept the pool area immaculate.

Our twentieth visit here . First class accommodation . Excellent cuisine . Treated like royalty for our two week vacation . Even danced under the stars in the beautiful cocktail bar ! Try the exotic champagne cocktails ! Whilst looking over the moonlit bay of Naples !

The worst geassing I have had in my life , I’m a big traveler and I visit manny places in the world and in Italy , this is 100% the worst owner hotel act I had my all life , my family own a few hotels around the world and it’s been never so rude as this owner , he is insolent and threatens and speakes load to show off he is the boss , the roof top the owned in the top of the hotel it’s like a tourist trap, down stairs the coke cost 6 euro (also a lot but didn’t say anything) and upstairs it’s cost 10 Euro , I couldn’t believe what I sew when I got the bill , actually a tourist trap, they hide the soft drink menu somewhere in the app they qr code take u directly to the food menu and when u get the bill guess what ! Cocke cost 10 euro ! Same as full size pizza , the worst thing is their act when u say u cant accept that and when u ask for the refund the owner come and start argued with u that not his problem and taking load with rude attitude . I am highly recommend to not come and visit this hotel never in your all life , specially with this kind of attitude .

This is a beautiful hotel . Some people may consider it a bit outdated. But I love old world houses hotels and furniture. There were some broken tiles and chipped paint but the decor was really charming . Breakfast was delicious and great variety. We didn’t eat dinner there It is about 10-15 Minutes walk to the train station- one stop to Sorrento so not suitable for people who have mobility issues or who want to be in the centre of activities

A good hotel with a generous selection at breakfast and good facilities including an excellent swimming pool. The rooftop cocktail bar with views of the sea to Sorrento one way and Vesuvius the other, is just spectacular!
