Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Hotel is a twenty minute walk from the centre of Sorrento and a ten minute walk from the train station for Pompeii and Herculaneum. There’s a very busy and noisy road outside so if you’re at the front of the hotel it might be hard to get any sleep. Rooms are tired and need an update but bed was nice and comfy. Food wasn’t great as there wasn’t much variety and it was always lukewarm. Peroni on draught and coffee were very nice. Entertainment was dire. Pool area was nice but there are some small ‘foot-baths’ around the pool presumably for disinfecting feet, where we witnessed lots of people (including myself!) stumbling and tripping as they failed to notice them. This is an accident waiting to happen and should be addressed asap before some poor soul breaks an ankle! One thing I must mention, my other half left a jacket in the room as we departed and within a few minutes of realising, we informed the reception staff who sent someone up to retrieve it. The cleaner was already in the room at this time and said that nothing was left there. We told the reception staff that it was definitely left in the room but they weren't interested, they just shrugged and took the cleaners word for it. I appealed to the TUI Rep, Monica and explained that it was definitely left in the room but she just said “I don’t deal with those sort of things” so no help at all! With the result my other-half was freezing on the flight home, so this is the one reason I wouldn’t return to this hotel.

Saint agnello is a dump, horrible congestion, on stop traffic, polluted beyond belief. Hotel pool is horrid, people packed in like sardines, I could touch the person lying beside me, not nice at all. Miserable restaurant and bar staff, a moody old man who did t want to be there. The entertainment was a joke, I would never retire. To this place. Food was boring, pizza and chips, very unimaginative, unfriendly reception staff.

We stayed here for 7 nights and was hesitant having read some of the reviews. We were pleasantly surprised. The staff were fantastic and couldn’t have done any more to make us feel welcome. The room was a good size, comfortable and clean. Location wise it was great, Sorrento down the road and pick up point outside the hotel for which we used before our trips to Pompeii and Amalfi. Only downside perhaps was the food, not bad by any means but not a great variety, especially when it came to sweets/dessert. The cocktails were also not particularly cold and some had squash in as opposed to actual juice. Other than that it was a good hotel. We really enjoyed our time here.

We recently spent a week at the hotel and had a brilliant holiday. I don’t know what people expect for the money they paid! We thought the hotel was great. Lovely staff in all areas who work extremely hard. Our room was immaculate. Yes it’s a bit tired but couldn’t fault the cleanliness. Towels replaced in room every day. Pool was brilliant and no problems getting sun beds at this time of year. Overall the food was great, barbecues being the favourite. Not sure why people say the drinks are watered down, we certainly didn’t experience this. How do you water down bottles of Prosecco! Plenty of choice of drinks and food, you certainly wouldn’t starve. We ate out for some meals whilst visiting Sorrento. Free shuttle bus provided and always seats available or 15 min walk to Sorrento. Perfect location as handy for train station and easy to get around. Sant’Agnello is a nice little town for a wander with a brilliant terraced restaurant bar overlooking the sea. Went on a tui half day excursion to Pompeii which we can recommend. Entertainment was enjoyable. Lovely to sit outside at night, after all that’s something we can’t do at home that often. Do not be put off by moaning reviews. The hotel is great and extremely good value for money! We would certainly return in the future.

Good value for money at this hotel. Staff very friendly and nothing too much trouble. Had a problem with the TV Ariel and the maintenance man was there within 10 minutes to sort it out. Food and drinks good, choice of baked goods for breakfast was excellent- the most we’ve ever seen! They also provided traditional breakfast Excellent shuttle bus service into Sorrento first bus in at 9am last back 11 pm

Good all inclusive drinks menu, nights eating and entertainment by the pool made a nice change. The staff are excellent and very helpful from the manager to the bar staff. The hotel has a classic feel and the pizza at lunch is made fresh, help yourself to wine and soft drinks at lunchtime and bar service in the evenings.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights all inclusive and it did not disappoint! There was a variety of different foods each day and it was all presented and tasted amazingly. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful ☺️ there is a shuttle you can get from the hotel direct into Sorrento. Great hotel!

First impressions not too bad . Room very dated but clean strong smell off damp . Balcony covered in rust and green mould not suitable to sit out on . The food at the hotel is dreadful the worst we have ever had in a all inclusive. All the food is cold! Never had a hot meal in the week we were there. No microwave to heat your food. The choice is appalling cheap pasta and pizza! You would think being in Italy it would be amazing but it’s tasteless cold cheap rubbish! Drinks are very very poor quality and watered down. Free bus into Sorrento was the only plus going for the hotel at least you could go out to eat and drink! The sun loungers around the pool area are old and absolutely filthy covered in black mould stains ! Towels are threadbare very thin and grey! Entertainment well lower your expectations every night someone will a laptop and a microphone attempts to sing ! It really is painful and not entertaining in any way shape or form! Absolutely no way is this a four star hotel probably two at best!
