I found the Miramare to be charming and a great bargain for the area. We wanted to stay in Portofino but could not find an affordable hotel. Not sure why the previous "adivsor" hated the Miramare. I pretty much enjoy my stay and I will go back. Ok, the room are basic but I hadn't any padlock and the sea view was breathtaking. My wife & I stayed in the Miramare hotel in Sestri Levante. The town is very busy, frequented mainly by Italian's on holiday, so Englifh sometime was a bit difficult.
