This hotel was o.k. but nothing special and also overpriced.
It was very quiet, the only other people there seemed to appear out of the woodwork at dinner and then all talk together in a very middle class, hushed tone sort of way - there was no atmosphere. There also seemed to be no staff. When we first arrived we were shown our room and then just left. We weren't told about dinner or breakfast or anything! The room was nice - large and with a small shower room. It was very quiet apart from a local kennels...
The hotel is very much on its own - the road up is a little scary and once there for the evening you are stuck. The food was nice but... it is not made clear on the website that if you book half board you don't get any choice for your dinner. I had read reviews of the wonderful food so to pay 25 euros each (without drinks) but have no choice at all over what you are eating was bit much.
