Having seen the lovely layouts on the hotels website, I finally chose it from amongst dozens of others because it said it is set on 180hectares of park land and because of its proximity to Rome.
But we were in for the shock of our lives because the hotel is on the edge of the largest industrial estate in Viterbo!!! Imagine driving through dozens of factories and a garbage dump to finally stumble on to the Rinaldone Country Hotel!!! Ironically, once inside the gates, the Hotel is a lovely green oasis. The room had no view unlike that promised on the website, and the interior was not 3*! Bathroom was terrible, with a mal functioning flushing and an unhinged shower door. Room was not always warm and had to tell reception about it more than once. Phone was not functioning either. Had booked half-board, but after our first evening meal, we quickly changed our minds and ate elsewhere! (meal cost 55 euros and hardly edible!!!)
Only thing going for this place is its friendly staff...
