Booked with Shearings Coaches. We were supposed to stay in a better hotel but were put in the Berta. No bars or cafes that you could walk to in the vicinity. No shops. Lots of building going on in the area.

Food was mediocre. Rooms were cleaned daily. Overall the hotel wasn't bad, but I wouldn't stay there again.

View from our balcony was of a patch of weeds about 2 metres high.

I was on holiday with my sister, and on arrival at the restaurant for our first meal, the waitress tried to put my sister on one table with guests that she didin't know, and me on another table. The waitress was very unhappy with us when we refused to sit at different tables. Meanwhile there were plenty of other unoccupied tables in the restaurant. As the meal progressed, we realised that these other tables were for the "first class" guests, as they didn't have to sit with people who weren't in their party, and they got different and better food than we did.
