What a thrill to stay in a chateau lovingly restored and with such an auspicious history. The hosts are fully committed to the ongoing restoration and will show you around the Royal Suites and some parts of a chateau not usually seen by visitors. Both hosts are exceptionally welcoming, and speak perfect English. The breakfast are great and with couple... More

We thank you very much for your appreciation. Part of it goes to this historical place we are happy to share with our visitors, even more when they come from so far away like you did, and to its great views to which opens every window, as well as the gardens. Part of it goes also to the opportunity you... More

We stayed two nights with the whole family including a baby. Everything was perfect. There were toys for our two older kids in their room. Their beds and our were comfy. Breakfast was delicious. There was a huge library with old books available to us. Hosts were fantastic. We would have stayed there longer.

Saint Saturnin – a Royal experience. Our choice of overnight destinations is often influenced by the ILA hotel website – their properties are generally excellent. And so we chose the Chateau de Saint Saturnin, after seeing it on www.ila-chateau.com Only in France can one so easily stay in wonderful, historic Castles, and this is because French tax-laws allow owners more... We stopped overnight at the chateau, as we had enjoyed our previous visit so much. The ambience is lovely, as the hosts are so friendly and helpful. We ate at the local auberge in the evening, having an excellent meal (we both had the 4-course menu). Breakfast at the chateau was also delicious, with various home-made or local products. We... Dear guests, We had this year so many guests coming again for the second, third or fourth time. We are very proud indeed to be part of their life and of their holyday routine. We can share with them their last family events or our last restauration works or plans. Thank you so much for voting with your feet! More

How can I add to the many compliments made on here.Truly an outstanding Chatteau and the Hosts were very friendly and helpful. We had a suite and the Bedroom was huge - approx 12 metres square! We also took a 20 minute walk into the next village for a very good evening meal the only complaint was that the portions... More

Dear guests, You are more than welcomed for a longer stay next year, so that you can have a wider experience of our region. In fact your room was 72 square meters big! It is the only one in the Renaissance part. It crosses it completly and enjoys great views on the romanesque church on one side and on the... More

What can I say about this place that hasn't already been said. You only have to read the previous reviews to realise this "hotel" is something special. We used it as a stopover on our way back to the UK and so wished we could have stayed longer. Its located not far from the A75/E11 and quite easy to find.... More

We stayed for one glorious night at Chateau de Sain-Saturnin as a treat after a week or so of touring the south of France. Arriving in the castle grounds at sunset was an awe inspiring experiences. Simply fantastic. This place is spectacular - a proper castle with fortifications. The room was enormous, beautifully decorated and had a bathroom in one of the towers. The hosts were lovely, very welcoming and helpful. They recommended a fabulous local restaurant a pleasant walk away for dinner. The castle tour (castle is open to public but you get a tour... More

We stayed for a couple of nights recently. You're meant to call in advance to get the entry code but we forgot. That led to some confusion but the owner sorted that out diplomatically and was very welcoming. The rooms are huge and well laid out. Beautifully decorated with antique furniture. The bathroom is up some stairs with an amazing... More

Our only regret is that we had scheduled only one night stay at the Chateau de Sain-Saturnin. There is so much to see and enjoy, the castle itself, the fascinating visit led by Emmanuel Penicaud, Both Mr and Mrs Penicaud have excellent suggestions for visits and restaurants in the area and you will need more than one day to enjoy...
