We were delighted with our stay at A Merula. As other travellers have written, the most striking feature upon arrival are the beautiful gardens - well tended, green and lush, even in the August heat after several weeks of no rain. The pool is lovely and the owner has not scrimped on pool furniture - there are sufficient sun loungers... more

The A Merula is a must for lovers of a quiet retreat close to Calvi town. plenty of free parking if you have a car, gorgeous lawned gardens tended by the owner Christophe. If you are a bird lover take your binoculars, as the gardens are frequented by dozens of small birds perching in the pines and shrubbery, blackbirds,woodpeckers, hoopo's,... more

we have just returned from a weeks stay in residence a merula and already want to go back. we got a really good deal through holiday options and were concerned that cheap may mean not so cheerful but we were wrong, the one bedroom appartment was very comfortable and had everything you would need, from a diswasher, coffee machine toaster... more
