Le Caribou is a penthouse chalet with a funky retro vibe less than five minutes’ walk from the nearest chairlifts. The slopes nearby are often really quiet and great for learners. More adventurous skiers and boarders can head over to Pre La Joux, from where you can explore pistes further afield such as those at Avoriaz and Morzine. Le Caribou comes into its own for the après ski. The food was superb and the delicious three-course dinners were one of the highlights of our stay. We really enjoyed playing pool and Wii in the evenings, and hanging out with a drink in front of the open log fire. As we visited towards the end of the season, we could also make good use of the Caribou’s two long balconies, soaking up the rays and the panoramic mountain views. Warren and Mel were amazing hosts and provided really useful recommendations about places to ski, eat and drink locally. We will definitely be returning! more
