Finding La Pinede was not an easy task on arrival to the beautiful island of Corsica. It didn't help that it was called something completely different and was signposted with another name! This was rectified two days into our stay so you shouldn't have any problems now should you visit, it is clearly signposted "La Pinede". After a trip into the local tourist office and some translating (owner does not speak english) we eventually got to the apartments. You will find it on the road from Bonifacio to Porto Vecchio, which is pretty much a straight road. After Santa Guilia you will find it located on your left just before a round about with a big sign saying "La Pinede" with a white gate.

On arrival the little old lady who owns the apartments showed us into her place first and we managed to sort out all the usual business even though she could not speak a word of english and our french was very questionable. It was all very amusing and there was a lot of... more
