Beautiful period building, great location, amazingly helpful and friendly staff, lots of free extras such as bathing towels for the pool and/or beach, a guided tour of Arcachon etc. Nice and clean... What more could you ask for?

Located in a traditional Arcachon townhouse, le Dauphin has good if somewhat imporsonal service, decent standard rooms and a heated backyard pool. Rooms are small and there is no restaurant or bar. unfortunately, everything was all right for 3 days later we were robbed in hotel during brakfast (it last about 15 min), nobody even wanted to talk with the cleaning staff and call the police. I blame holtel on this, beacse they are responisble for visitors safety. Take all precious things with you.

After a very disappointing stay at this hotel, BEWARE..... there are very serious security issues at this hotel. Make sure you take your valuables with you, keys fit multiple doors and other security matters are very questionable. Rooms and bathrooms are very small and the staff albeit come across as being efficient are not! We would not return!
