If you ever plan to see Brantome "the Venice of the Dordogne" then I would definately reccomend this hotel. Set in picturesque grounds, the converted mill's rooms have been equipped to a high standard and are very spacious. There are plenty of nice / luxiourious hotels about in the world but what sets this place apart is the attitude and... More

This boutique hotel is a labour of love created by the owners, Gisele and Michel. No detail has been forgotten. They are fantastic hosts, and make everyone feel right at home. We spent four evenings with them and each day was great. Dinner was always fantastic, and probably the best we've had in a long time. The wine list is... More

We stumbled upon this restaurant by accident as we were early for dinner and were walking along the riverside. The setting and ambiance are to die for. Staff kindly let us sit down anyway and enjoy a drink by the river before the restaurant started service. The food and wine were excellent - a little pricey - but when on... More

My wife and I spent two weeks vacationing in France and our three days at Moulin de Vigonac was the highlight. The staff was great. We enjoyed the warm welcome, pleasant conversations, ideas for touring in the area, and some history of the hotel and region. The restaurant was amazing. We arrived planning to eat there one night and then... More

We booked the Helene room at the Moulin De Vigonac for one night whilst touring the Dordogne. The room was very spacious and decorated just to my taste with a good sized bathroom. The hotel & its surroundings were very peaceful & tres jolie! There is also a swimming pool which looked very inviting but alas I did not find... More

We stayed two nights and ate at the restaurant both nights. The food was incredible. The chef's truffled foie gras is among the best I have ever eaten (and I love foie gras!). The lobster "salad" was exquisite with the lobster served in the tail perfectly poached accompanied by a variety of garden fresh steamed vegetables. The duck was of... More

The resort is an old restored mill, surrounded by a big park. There is also an outdoor swiming pool. You can reach Brantome in about 20 minutes by walk. It's a small resort, with only few rooms. Room was really nice, clean and big, with adeguate fornitures. The bathroom was high-level too. Breakfast costed 16 Euro for person, but it... More

We stayed here for 7 nights and found both the hotel owners and the staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel setting and accommodation were outstanding and the food superb. We would highly recommend this hotel and indeed hope to return ourselves sometime in the near future.

We stayed here for two nights in mid-August and it was the highlight of a long trip around the South West of France. It's a beautiful setting, close to the fantastic village of Brantome and the lady who runs the place and her son could not have been more helpful and relaxed. We ate in the resturant on the Friday... We arrived quite late in Brantome, quite tired and we initially found the hotel hard to locate as the tourist signs in the town seem to stop at the second bridge and actually you need to continue for quite a bit further to a roundabout and then down the track that leads to the hotel - so do your research...
