My husband and I brought our teenage daughter on this trip and Terri and Roy were able to accommodate us with one of the apartments they manage. It is adjacent to their lovely bed and breakfast hotel in the heart of medieval Sarlat. The rooms are clean and the beds are supportive and comfortable, and Terri and Roy are wonderful.... more

Having spent only four days in Sarlat we realised it was too short to see everything and wished we had cut some places out of our itinerary and stayed longer here. This B&B lived up to all the reviews on TripAdvisor and it’s difficult to add anything that hasn’t already been said. The breakfasts were excellent and it was lovely... more

My husband and I stayed at La Lanterne with Terri and Roy for 3 days in May- and liked it so much we stayed an additional 3 days. They run a delightful B&B right in the mediaeval centre of Sarlat. Our last days were up in the grenier (attic) which was a real treat. We entered through a door that... more

We started in Paris, which was lovely. But our decision to travel south to Sarlat was confirmed a hundred-fold by our lovely stay at La Lanterne. Our accomodations were perfect--a cozy room (the Tapestry Room) with double windows that opened onto a quiet (!) and atmospheric view of rooftops; an exquisite bed, a roomy modern bathroom, and the best hosts... more

What a find!! We had a family reunion in April and based ourselves not only in a wonderful town but also in a wonderful B&B. Our hosts Terri & Roy could not have done more for us. From the time we arrived nothing was too much trouble – complimentary welcome drinks, restaurant recommendations and reservations made for us. Although not... more

Terri and Roy were so absolutely gracious to us during our stay. We rented the "de Beaumont" suite on the top floor and it was clean and spacious. We used the little kitchen to fix a quick breakfast or lunch. La Lanterne is situated in the Medieval City, which meant it was closed to the market and shops. It just... more

Our first sunny day in a week and we arrived on market day. It was our first experience of a mediaeval city and we couldn't get enough of it. As we walked down the cobbled rue Montaigne we were greeted by Frodo the little watch dog, Roy and the lovely courtyard of La Lanterne. Our apartment was at the top... more

We stayed 3 nights with Terri and Roy in their delightful accommodation and wish we had planned for longer. We stayed in the Courtyard suite which is a self-contained apartment. Terri and Roy are wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome. Sarlat is central to many of the sights in the Dordogne Valley and we very much enjoyed our... more

Just returned from 3 nights at La Lanterne staying in the self catering apartment on the top floor. The flat is very spacious and has amazing views over the town and the countryside. Terri and Roy made us very welcome and were helpful. La Lanterne is well placed and I was able to go early every morning to the boulangerie... more
