We have stayed at this hotel a couple of times on our way to the south of france. It's a small, comfortable hotel, with very friendly owners who really make a fuss over the children. Grand Hotel is centrally situated in the Le Mont-Dore. Located near shopping and restaurants, it is in a good area to serve as a home base. The hotel is in a restored building from the 1800s. We stayed for one night en route to a cycle tour in the Dordogne then the Alps.
