We stayed in the cottages, not the main house. It was wonderful. A large room with a sitting area and a balcony overlooking the garden. Service great. Breakfast wonderful. Views of the bay terrific. I can not say a bad thing about this hotel, except it was a little hard to find even with our GSP. We had dinner at... more

This hotel is fantastic, the food, room and everything else are amazing. However, the one serious complaint I have about it is that the website give the distinct impression that it is very close to Mont St. Michel. It is not! It is a 45 minute drive away. If you take a taxi it will cost you around 110 Euros... more

Not only is Cancale an ideal stop in Brittany, but the enterprise that is Maison des Bricourt is the best way to stay. We didn't stay at the main house, just outside of town, but rather had two rooms at their little house overlooking the oyster beds, up on a bluff. Stunning views, comfortable tasteful rooms, best breakfast in France,... more

Pricey but worth every Euro. Very romantic, huge room with a view of the water. Beautiful garden, generous breakfast. Everything was first class. We stayed in many first class hotels in France, and this was by far our favorite. more

We just returned from our two week trip in France. We spent one night here and truly enjoyed our experience. Our room was very large and had windows that looked out over the bay and towards Mont St. Michel. We ate dinner at "Le Coquillage" and the meal was excellent. The grounds were lovely. We tried to mix and match... more

We spent a wonderful honeymoon here. Wonderful location, (although note that you can't easily get around here without a car), and incredibly relaxing being able to open the windows and listen to the sea as you drift off to sleep. more

The hotel is located a few km before Cancale, arriving from Rennes. It's a small and very nice castle in front of the sea, with a very good restaurant "Le Coquillage". Olivier Rollinger, one of the best French chefs, owns the place (or a part of it, I'm not sure exactly). I would recommend the room "Anis Etoilé" (each room... more

We stayed one night in room Macis (each room is carrying the name of one spice). Very nice and spacious room. Very nice bathroom. Couple of small amenities (cookies, fruits, cognac, candied fruits offered in the room). Though we had garden view, we had a side window facing the sea with view on Mont Saint Michel. Very nice garden with... more

I stayed in this hotel for a couple of nights during September 2005 and it was amazing. The food was excellent both at the chateaux and at the gourmet restaurant in town (the chateaux will drive you to and from the restaurant). We were lucky to have a room with a small balcony (there are only one or two) which... more

I recently enjoyed a very pleasant two night stay at the Chateau de Richeux, part of the Maisons de Bricourt in Cancale. I travelled with my wife, 9 year old son and my wife’s parents. My family occupied a one bedroom suite, and the in-laws stayed in a deluxe room. The location of the Chateau de Richeux is exceptional. The... more
