Our SatNav did not help our finding of this hotel which is not in a particularly difficult bit of the town (beware those using TomTom). Reception was perfunctory. Our room was up some awkward stairs with no lift and our room door was probably the smallest door in a modern building I have ever encountered, so not the easiest for... More

We've stayed in a Deluxe Room (nº 302), similar to a Junior Suite. Very nice decoration, spacious room and bathroom with a very nice shower! Very good soundproofing in this room, having double windows, separated by some centimeters. The complimentary gâteaux de la Mère Poulard (4 biscuits) and 1 bottle of complimentary water was a nice touch! Great location, walking... More

Nice clean room and excellent for a business traveller. New bathroom was functional and clean. Toilets - What is it with newly built bathrooms having toilets several feet off the ground. I'm nearly 6 foot tall and even I have to perch on the thing. I feel sorry for anyone shorter, your going to feel like your 6 years old... More

We went to Fougeres as we have a daughter and her family living in Lecousse and there's no room in their house. This hotel is very well placed in the town and offered a comfortable and well equipped if small room, but with a roomy bathroom with bath/shower, and all newly refurbished and decorated. We had obtained a bit of... More

We had a 2 night stay here earlier this year and can only say it's probably the most friendly hotel we have ever stayed in in France. Nice location in town centre, close to chateau etc. We enjoyed a superb meal in the hotel restaurant and the breakfasts were excellent too. An all-round enjoyable stay in a large, modern room... Stayed for business in this hotel. Rooms were cheap and well maintained although it smelled of air freshener all over the place. The rooms' size was decent and well-equipped (TV etc...) Bathroom was spacious and well designed. Only downside: the room was placed in an annex of the hotel with no lift and overlooking some dodgy inner courtyard....

This is a small well situated hotel. Staff is very helpful, friendly and went out of their way to describe local amenities and historical sites. The room we were given was very small, it is designated XL so we expected a larger room with full bath not shower only. Room facilities were good – large LED TV, hair drier, drinking... More

We stayed here for two nights back in April 2012. We were made to feel very welcome by the Receptionist. The room was lovely, a decent size (two double beds) the bathroom was clean and spacious. Breakfast was continental and plentiful - coffee/tea/juices/fresh fruit/croissants/pastries etc, again staff were very friendly. One evening we ate in the Hotel Restaurant and I... More

My partner and I live in Normandy and my anniversary surprise for him was a trip to the beautiful town of fougeres steeped in medieval history. We had a fabulous time especially given the proximity of the hotel to the old town. Not having a door on the toilet was a bit strange but our room (a deluxe) was lovely... More
