A Beautiful property set in large grounds owned by an elderly french couple. Downstairs is also an art gallery. Unfortunately we didn't get the bedroom we had booked, we got the smallest of the rooms and although it was clean, the decor and bathroom were well past their sell by date. The shower was rusty and the tiles in the bathroom cracked and broken. However, Mrs Limousin was charming, and although she didn't speak any English, she was an excellent hostess and went to great lengths to explain things to us, via a french translation dictionary, as we didn't speak french either. She cooked us an excellent three course meal in the evening (the best we had in France!) and the stay and the meal combined were very good value. It was just a real shame that generally I think the property in it's day, was fantastic, but maintenance of some parts of the grounds and the upstairs rooms was non existent and what DIY had been attempted was very poor.
