Beautiful house with very friendly, helpful, English speaking staff. Whilst there was now restaurant, staff were more than happy to allow us to have our own picnic dinner in the garden (lots of table and chairs). We took a classic double room (cheapest) in the main Chateau which was quite small and fairly basic but all clean and beautiful views... more

The hotel is in a fantastic location for relaxing and enjoying the beautiful loire. We enjoyed the 20-minute drive through peaceful farms to Amboise and our room, located on the 2nd floor was comfortable with a stunning view of the countryside. On our second day unfortunately we chose to breakfast at the hotel which was a mistake. The milk in... more

The main house is lovely, and the breakfasts wonderful, but beware the Pavilion especially the Junior Suite. The internal bathroom has such awful damp problems that it is unusable and a terrible smell fills the whole place. The pavilion is in a dark, damp corner of the garden (even in August ) and has mozzies aplenty. In all, the pavilion... more

We travelled to the Chateau last Monday,22nd, and once checked in,immediately re-booked for the 25th. The place is a gem. We had the chance to occupy two rooms in the main house and both were good. Our favourite, was room 15. The view is not important, its the space that you get. Our earlier room was 10 and the view... more

If you're traveling to the Loire Valley, this is an excellent place to stay. Onzain is a very small town, but it's right in the middle of the valley and an excellent starting point to tour the castles, which are at most an hour away. The Chateau de Tertres was an outstanding bargain. We stayed in the annex, just down... more

Really enjoyed staying here..... our room was very comfortable (be sure to request a room facing the countryside) with a lovely view and shiny hardwood floors. The staff was very friendly and breakfast was excellent. A great place to relax and enjoy the area. We stayed here as part of an all-inclusive bike trip, so I cannot speak to the... more

This was lovely place to stay. Breakfast is not included, although we did opt to purchase it and it was quite good, although perhaps a little pricey. The grounds were wonderful and very serene views. Being an old building, it had a few creaks and you could hear people in the hallways, but it didn't bother us too much. more

This place is perfect - quiet, in a small village across the river from Chaumont and a few km from Amboise. The chateau itself is more like a large stately home - with three levels. We had a large room with a lovely view in the chateau itself - there are also some rooms in outbuildings at the bottom of... more

This lovely home is a far cry from a hotel. It is one of the most serene, welcoming accommodations that I have ever visited. I will soon be returning for my third visit. The proprietors, Bernard and Christine go far beyond the call of duty to make each person's stay a memorable one. Rooms are well appointed and valley views... more
