We spent three nights at de la Cloche in Geneva, mainly because I read some reviews about it and they said quite nice things. After that it was a bit of a shock to see what it is really like.
First, it was not easy to get in the hotel itself as it is on the first floor of a block of flats and without the code to press at the door you have to find out what the speaker is saying in French. Finally we got in, I still don't know how.
We booked a room with en-suit bathroom (most rooms don't have it, instead there is a shower and a toilet from the corridor). In our room there were two beds, a table, two chairs and a built in wardrobe. We could say it was quite spacious. But the bathroom was a joke. It was about 1 and a half square metres with a toilet, a washbasin and a shower squashed in it. It was almost impossible to wash your hair or teeth not to mention shaving.
The room itself was clean but it looked shabby.
