Went with a tour in the last week of April. Hotel was clean, my room on the 4th floor had a 7ft wide bed(!). My companions room on the 3rd floor had a queen size, too. Everything you would expect from a modern hotel - didn't have time to access the internet and didn't eat there (the breakfast was in... more

The hotel is in a close Paris suburb and accessible via the Paris Metro and bus lines. Unfortunately we were there during a transit strike (though the #72 bus ran to central Paris). The hotel is clean, friendly and located in an area with several nice brasserie-type restaurants if you don't want to go downtown to eat. The rooms are... more

The hotel was OK, but after my colleague and I were assigned separate rooms (per our reservations), the desk clerk ran up the stairs to catch us coming out of the elevator, so that he could tell us that my colleague's room was not usable (without any particular explanation). We ended up having to share a room - not the... more

We have just enjoyed a four day break in Paris, staying at the Mercure Paris Porte de St Cloud. The double room was very comfortable and clean but suffered from the occasional noisy air conditioning fan and lacked the stated tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast was buffet style but predictable in choice and bread and rolls disappointedly solid. An... more

First, the hotel has changed ownership a while ago but It's still under the Golden Tulip website. New name is Mercure, of the Accor Hotel Groups. Second, please not that the candid photos provided by the English member dated June 28, 2005 were inaccurate -- the photos of the Seine River and the Musee du Lourve were probably uploaded by... more

The Golden Tulip Porte De St Cloud, is a modern, clean and friendly hotel on the outskirts of Paris. The room we had was of a reasonable size, bright, clean and comfortable with attractive decor. The bathroom was compact but very clean and the shower was very powerful and always hot! The lobby, bar and restaurant were smart and elegantly... more

My wife and I stayed here for four days May 2005, and we liked this quite new and modern hotel very much. Friendly staff, modern and comfortable rooms and a good breakfast. It is certainly not the most central hotel in Paris, but a metro station is nearby with a 15 minutes journey or so to the central parts of... more

We were in Paris June27-July 1 and our stay at the Golden Tulip was perfect. The rooms were average size but very clean. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. We were only a 5 minute subway ride from the Eifel Tower and the Louve. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. more
