Overall not a bad place to stay if you are travelling back from the South of France to the UK. There seem to be a shortage of good places to stay if you drive round Paris. The room we stayed in was in a motel-like extension. It was small, without aircon. As the door opened on to the extractor from the kitchen (goodness knows what they were cooking that evening) we had no way of ventilating the room - even opening the window was unbearable. We have been to Compiegne probably 30 times from the USA.
