Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Our first stop over on the coast after travelling down through France in our motorhome. Friendly welcome on arrival and able to pick our own pitch. Free wifi around the bar/cafe area. Good swimming pool with plenty of sunbeds. Toilet, showers and washing up area inthe same block. Lots of hot water -always! Clean and tidy. Site pitches good size, most shaded to some degree or other. Fresh bread from the shop in the morning. Beech only 5 minutes walk through the front entrance and across the carpark. Town acces is either by the beech walk or the roadway and takes about 20 -25 minutes at a comfortable walking pace. Well worth a visit and hopefully we will return soon.

Tricky review to write. This was our first ever trip to France in our caravan so expectations were high. We arrived at approx 8.30pm and my first impression wasn’t good - it seemed like a shanty town! Washing strung everywhere, feral kids roaming the site, dusty and hot, small pitches right next to the toilet. I did shed a tear but the next day bloomed bright and sunny and everything looked better. The pool area is fantastic for starters. The site facilities are excellent (big showers etc) although could be a bit cleaner but that’s me being picky. The pitches we were allocated were smaller than a lot of others but more than acceptable for a family of 3. Our little girl loved the small farm on site and the playground. Literally 5 mins from the beach (sand is gritsand) so we only went there one day as my daughter wanted to build sandcastles. Ate on site twice - lovely friendly staff but the food was mediocre. We went to the kids disco which turned out to be some kind of drama school for kid (all in French) so didn’t stay long. Argelès-Sur mer is what I imagine Benidorm to be like although the Harbour was lovely. Lots to do in the area for kids. The campsite wasn’t to my taste but still deserves a great review. The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because of Luna Park and the noise every night. Very loud and goes on until midnight. We won’t be going back but we did speak to many people there who have been going back for 10+ years who loved it.

Good size pitches for 7m motorhome with many that'll take bigger units Bit sparse on the grass but it's the end of a hot season so what can you expect Pitches divided by hedges beneath trees which provide great shelter from hot sun and potentially high winds and rain - we had all! The sanitation block is incredible - modern, clean, beautifully maintained with a "warm room" for those chilly September evenings- it's got to be seen to be believed, superb Great restaurant and bar on site with local produce cooked by local people - friendly helpfull and great service On site shop with daily bread and croissants On the quieter end of Argeles Sur Mer with the beach 5 mins across a quiet road and open car park Road noise can be heard from busy main road but it's not too bad Supermarket and usual grocery shops 15 mins cycle using bile lanes alongside busy main road

Stayed here for 5 days [we leave tomorrow 12th June]. Tidy campsite on the outskirts of Argeles Sur Mer. Very friendly staff who, and speak English if needed. The best swimming pool ever, heated to a ice temperature, clean and large. Nice little cafe/bar and the meal we had one night was top quality and very reasonable. New toilets/ amenities block with spacious cubicles. Pitches are all large [easy to get an 8m motorohome with trailer and awning on the pitch with room to spare]. Most have really good shade with a variety of mature trees, each pitch is screened by tall hedges. Just across the road is the beach, about a 200m walk to the water. Site is far enough from all the noisy holiday parks which seemto have very load "entertainment' blasting out till mid night, so as it is not an issuse. Not a large site so feels nice and personal. During our stay it was mostly french and dutch campers. Just 5 minutes on the scooter to the town and another 10 minutes to the lovely seaside town of Collioure. Will certainly use this site again.

We rented a bungalow in this camping two years in a row for our summer holidays. The location is exceptional being about 200m from the beach allowing easy access without the need to take the car. The service was always friendly and extremely helpful with many activities available on site. Bicycles can be rented on a day or week basis at a very reasonable rate. The pool is very nice and life guards are available to keep watch. Event thought it is slightly out of the town centre, shops are easily accessible and a small shop in the camping provides the necessary when in need. A nice and affordable restaurant and bar next to the pool area provides a good location to relax and participate in the organised event evenings. Adequate clothes washing / drying facilities are available on site with modern and clean amenities. A great camping at a reasonable rate, excellent for families and young couples alike. The location alone makes the stay worth while!

This camp in one word is fantastic! It is not too big in size so there is not overcrowdings that we experienced in other bigger camps yet very spacious, very well organised and maintained. It has absolutely everything including a shop, restaurant, bar, different market stalls, free and very good wi-fi, great swimming pool, varied and fun entertainment. Staff are very friendly, hospitable, professional and competent. We are family of 4 and our accomodation was immaculate. Beach is few minutes walk from the camp. The surrounding area and landscape is beautiful and very interesting with so much to see, visit, do and explore including numerous breathtaking sites, fortresses and castles, busy and alive Argeles-sur Mer, an amazing amusement park, mini golf, paintball, go-cart, horse riding, bull arena and so much more. We have already booked our next holiday and are going to camping La Marende for the second time. Can't wait! , ,
