The perfect weekend! We found Auberge du Roua to be the ideal weekend breakaway spot! A beautiful, old brick building with modern interior and great outside surroundings provided a much needed feeling of getting away from a stressful work day, and we truly enjoyed our stay. The restaurant with its old, vaulted ceilings and very modern furnishing was probably the... more

Hotel was clean and attractive but staff in reception unhelpful. Dinner was exceptional and wine pricey. No facilities during the day if you want to relax around the hotel. Breakfast overpriced - problem asking for more bread. probably wouldn't recommend or stay again! more

We stayed only one night and our booking was made last minute. It was a relief to find a reasonably priced hotel with availabiltiy of inter-connecting rooms at short notice. The hotel is generally clean and of a reasonable standard for the price and the restaurant well above average - in fact - really excellent but quite expensive. I found... more

We decided to treat ourselves to a suite and were not disappointed, it was lovely and spacious. The hotel was relatively quiet and on the days we relaxed around the pool, there was no-one but us which was a bonus! The food in the restaurant in the evening was excellent, yes its formal but it was what we expected having... more

Hotel located in a peaceful rural setting with comfortable and well-equipped rooms although could be difficult to find at night. Potential visitors should check out the opening hours of the restaurant as we arrived on Sunday evening to be told the restaurant was closed and there had been no indication of this on the website - whether this was a... more

My husband and I plus our daughter aged 9 stayed here for 4 nights in August. We had a deluxe room which was very austere - no pictures on walls and no mirror in bedroom at all. Pool was ok but very small and cold. Garden setting for dinner was delightful but dinner was expensive and wines were priced at... more

The hotel is an oasis, which is a contrast to the resport of Argeles, which is the camping capital of France! Our room had 3 beds and was large and very comfortable. The pool and garden is excellent. Breakfast is served on the terrace around the pool, which is quite expensive at €10 per head. We ate in the hotel... more

We stayed here for 4 nights earlier this month and we really liked the hotel. We upgraded to a delux room and it was nice, big and very clean. The hotel was in a very quite spot a 15 minute walk to the town, you would definitely need a car to stay here and the beach/sea front where most of... more

Arrived into Girona in Spain, and drove up to Argeles as we were staying there for a few nights prior to departure. Hotel is a little off the beaten track, but it is well worth it. You can walk into the top of the town within 15/20 minutes, but it is a beach where all the action is and you... more

This was our second visit to the Auberge du Roua and I was very happy to be able to take my parents along this time. We had a wedding in Canet en Roussillon so I decided to take a couple of extra days off to stay there beforehand. The hotel is lovely, rooms are large, clean and very nicely decorated.... more
