Reviews on this hotel are decidely mixed. Both are right, but neither extreme is warranted. The hotel is old in style, and if you like newly refurbished Hiltons then it won't be to your taste, but a newly refurbished Hilton won't give you this kind of space. On paper this place looks promising. A four-star property, Michelin-rated restaurant, beautiful images of the garden and the ancient priory-all removed from the bustle of touristy Avignon. there is nothing negative i can say about LE PRIEURE.. last visit was 2003.. much nicer than staying in Avignon.. breakfast on the patio is heaven.. for that matter any meal.. once the electronic gate opens you have been transported into an unbelievable world of flowers, excellent service and good food.. 2005 hopefully will bring me back more
