This hotel is now closed. We have stayed here in the past and loved the atmosphere of the cafe below, which looked as it might have done in 1936. Very sad that this archetypal modest hotel is no more. It may be being restored, but I doubt if it will be ad charming.
I have stayed at this hotel many times, and found it to have an old world charm that is not to be found in today's many modern business type hotels. This is a small, unassuming place that you would easily overlook. No website that I know of. The restaurant, although in need of a little TLC, in fact serves fantastic food. The rooms, and I think there are only 19 of them, are great. Smallish, but comfortable. Only drawback is an infrequent odd odour at the foot of the elevator...
