The bad: 1. Our room wasn't much bigger than the bed itself. 2. The stairs! They are steep and narrow and it makes a room on the third floor rather inconvenient. 3. Stayed here quite a few times. Hotel owner is fluent English, very knowledgable about Arras history and area. Stayed heer a couple of times and always enjoyed. The rooms aren't huge, but they are clean and good value for the money. The breakfast is great! Cheese, eggs, ham, 8 different jams, fruit and walnut bread fresh from the baker. Good value for a 2 star and price. more

Worst hotel ever? Diament Hotel in Arras has to be a front -runner for this award. Having reserved a room over three weeks beforehand my husband and were amazed to be given the attic room, three flights up a narrow set of steep stairs. There was no lift. We would highly recommend Hotel Diamant. The staff are very helpful and speak fluent English. It is located right on the square and is very convenient to all the shops and restaurants. The breakfast was the best we had throughout France. We would return to this hotel in a heart beat. more

This small traditional hotel has a splendid location on the 'place des heros'. The rooms are small but adequate. The service was friendly and the breakfast was OK. Take the 'patron's' advice on where to eat. Parking is fairly easy given that it is right in the centre of town but you have to pay (modestly) for it. more
