We went on a Christmas Market tour to Northern France and stayed 4 nights at Le Grand Hotel in Valenciennes. The rooms were small but clean. Nice bathroom with a few toiletries provided. I never slept at the hôtel but had several (more than ten) opportunities to invite people either at the Brasserie Hans or at the restaurant gastronomique during the past 10 years. I strongly recommend both restaurants, the choice between the Brasserie and the Resaurant Gastronomique as to be made under the 2 constraints of time and of course budget. The... more
