We had a corner, 3rd floor room. Loved the views of the front tidal area and the side views of the quaint buildings on the island. Weather was wonderful in the middle of September. Especially enjoyed the island in the evening after the majority of tour buses left and it was not crowded. Really nice quiet room and comfortable beds. more

After reading other reviews, we wisely brought only a carry-on from the car to the hotel. Therefore, the spiral steps to our third floor room were not a problem. Our room was up 2 flights of very steep staircases. the carpets of which very dirty and did not look as though had been cleeaned in along time. Arriving at St. Michel and seeing the hotel just at the entry in the Mont is wonderful. Food is fabulous, location i can;t tell (wonderful), great service, a little bit expensive, but the other things compensate. If you want to live a dream stay at Mere Poulard. more
