We arrived from Dover and easily found the Campanile which is only a couple of Km from the harbour. Check was quick and efficient; the room was identical to any other Campanile and dinner was typical. Have stayed here once/twice a year for the last 10 years and have seen a marked increase in cost and a decrease in service. Buffet dinner was sadly depleted - looked like it hadn't been filled up from lunch time, small amount of salmon especially. Have never used restaurant for breakfast so can't comment on that . The Campanile is very much a one night stopover place for people catching the car ferry. Being a good way out of Calais centre, you absolutely need to drive to go anywhere else in town.
