This review is for La Faisanderie in Bremes near Ardres, about 20 min drive for Calais.
Basically we were not let into the hotel on the basis of us arriving late and the owner having to get up early in the morning. 4 people were left outside in a pouring rain at midnight with nowhere to go. To add insult to the injury, we got charged for 2 rooms as if we had not shown up. The owner was fully aware that we were outside as she later admitted on the phone.
Some details: We got stuck in London due to an accident in Blackwell tunnel and had to take a later Eurotunel train ( arriving to Calais at 11:30 pm ). We called Madame to warn her about the delay and assured her we would definitely arrive ( my parents-in-law speak fluent French so there was absolutely no misunderstanding) . She was not very pleased and was not very pleasant.
