Le Tivoli is very basic. It is clean enough but the decor and furniture let it down. Our room was bare with no curtains (although it had blinds) and an old-looking bedspread. It had a chair with sunken upholstry (see photo). Our shower was very poor. The soundproofing was non-existant and we heard some noisy guests.
We also paid for parking - WE STRONGLY ADVISE YOU DON'T! The car park is down a narrow, twisty ramp and it took me a long time to get out. The owner was very helpful and saw me out - then failed to mention a planter (which I scraped).
On the plus side, the breakfast was fine. Not a big choice but it was pleasant to sit on the sunny terrace.
Sisteron is a pretty, small town with several hotels, plenty shops and a good choice of restaurants. We enjoyed the creperie. The citidel is well worth a visit. It's a bit of a hike up but you are rewarded with spectacular views. more
