Chalet Isis in Alpe D'Huez is run by a company called Ski a la Carte. We found the place by accident online whilse searching for ski chalets. The company is basically a young couple, Mick and Katharine.

I can't speak highly enough of this place and of Ski a la Carte. There were 5 of us (late 20's) that came out for a week's skiing this feb. Mick does all the cooking which includes a fabulous 5 course meal every night. Every course was genuinely great (if we'd got it in a top restaurant we'd have been happy), and he also catered very well and thoughtfully given three of us were vegetarian - he even made a dessert specially for the three of us with veggie rather than normal gelatine. They really go out of their way to help you out and make you feel at home.

The chalet itself is also great. Ski in ski out (literally). It's a little walk from town (about 15 mins) but DON'T let that put you off, its very easy to get around and we went out plenty into town. The rooms are... more
