Just returned from a fantastic half board stay at Le Chalet.
The views over Lake Geneva are stunning. We rented (2 adults and 2 children age 9 and 10) a superbly equipped self catering apartment that was both spacious and quiet.
Food wise there was no choice for the evening dinner but that said, my children ate and enjoyed all that was put in front of them (as did the adults). The owners are both welcoming and hospitable in a relaxed informal way.

Thonon is a relaxed town without the pretentiousness of its neighbour Evian. The swimming pool complex, that incorporates an area that includes Lake Geneva itself, is second to none and the choice of restaurants is extensive. The only word of warning is that if one ventures across the Swiss boarder be prepared to
pay far higher prices.
