2nd visit to Tignes - this time stayed in Le Lac and self catered for first time. Apartment had 3 bedrooms so easily accommodated 6. Good lay out. Only criticism s would be bedrooms slightly on the too cosy side, not enough kitchen worktop space and not enough sofas for 6 adults. Only 1 that turned into sofa bed but... more

We have stayed at the Village Montana three times. We would recommend booking directly with the hotel. The reservations department cannot be faulted - they respond promptly to emails and offer suggestions. We travelled on the overnight Eurostar and as an apartment was already free were able to book straight in - at 7 in the morning. We stayed in... more

Mixed reviews on this one. We stayed in the apartments and after reading previous reviews, I have to agree. Beds too hard, pillow too hard and only one, heating cannot be controlled in apartment (have to go to reception where they 'amend' the computer), furniture all a bit dated and sofa very uncomfortable. On the plus side, apartment was clean... more

We went to Village Montana last week of February. We had excellent weather and good snow but were a little dissapointed by the Village Montana. We rented a 4 persons flat (45 m2, 2 bedrooms). Everything was functional but no more. Beds are not very confortable (no boxspring, plastic covering the mattress); all appliances including TV are the cheapest you... more

Returned to the village Montana (new residence after suites last year) and had another great stay. However, the in-house ski rental is to be avoided at all costs, there is an "Inter Sport" rental shop at the end of the road which provides a much better service. The problem with the in-house ski service is that it is too small... more

I've decided to write my review because I feel the Village Montana is being slightly blasted! We stayed for a week from the 13dec to the 20dec – booking directly (and making a huge saving) and I have to say, the staff came up trumps! Our main issue was booking a taxi from Geneva airport – all the private companies... more

My partner and I stayed at the Village Montana Hotel for the last week in January. I booked the hotel despite reservations regarding the mixed reviews of the hotel, and the fact it was only a 3 star hotel despite being in the Crystal Finest category (and equivalents in most other brochures). In previous years we have only booked 4... more

We have just returned from a week skiing in Tignes, France. We have been before and love the area. Previously we have stayed in other accommodation - a tiny appartment where you couldn't swing a cat, and in a shabby appartment marketed as a hotel. This time we were very pleasantly surprised. We got an appartment for four which had... more

This is the 3rd time we stayed at Village Montana and would highly recommend it, friendly staff, great service and a very warm atmosphere. Great for ski-ing, the village itself is small but with enough restaurants but avoid SPAR the supermarket at all cost for purchasing lunch at the counter. Was given a raw burger for our child to eat... more

We stayed in this hotel for a week in Mar and it was excellent. The hotel is situated on the hillside just above the main square area. Ensure you ask for hotel or taxi assistance with luggage. It is a traditional rustic hotel that has a warm welcoming feel throughout. The staff were very polite and helpful from arrival to... more
