I really wished I had checked this website before we went to Tignes in dec 08. Despite having an Ok time overall, the major issues with the lavachey remain serious issues. It is a dump! First impressions were not good, we had room 12 on the top floor. The room was very basic had one bedside table and one chair on the other side of the bed, there were no chest of drawers, the shelves in the cupboards were bowing dramatically and the lock for the bathroom appeared to have been kicked / forced out... more

Having had my expectations suitably lowered by these negative reviews I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived in Tignes. The staff were fantastic and couldn't do enough to help us (with three young children under six we needed it). The accommodation was basic, but then we hadn't paid a five star price.
