Stayed here late March 2013 even though read many reviews being negative- Nicely surprised though as view over lake from my balcony very nice of Val Claret and the Grand Motte!! The room yes are basic and probably in need of new carpets etc but are a very good size, you get a balcony also in most rooms which is... More

As the resort is so OTT expensive, the cost of the week was, all things considered, reasonable. However, its a very poor standard place to stay. The rooms are grotty and the beds are incredibly uncomfortable and in need of replacement. You would think with the amount of money made over a course of a season, they would make the... More

The chalet is centrally positioned overlooking the lake. Not ski in/out by any means but there is a bus stop 2 minutes down the road if you prefer not to walk 5-7 minutes into to the resort. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean. The decor is a little dated but that isn't something Crystal can change.... More

When reading reviews on this hotel they range from the sublime to the ridiculous so we left with an air of trepidation. The hotel is run by Crystal staff and is now called the Riders Lodge in the brochure. As people have stated it is not the Ritz but then again the brochure description does not claim it to be...... We were a bit apprehensive after reading some of the reviews about this chalet. but after spending last week there I have to say I thought it was great. Ok, it's not the ritz but it's not a hostel either. If you are after posh, look else where, but If you are after a good location, practical, comfortable, warm accomodation,... More

We booked with Crystal & stayed in the Terrachu over Christmas 2009. We took 4 upstairs rooms, 4 adults & 4 children ranging from 7yrs to 13yrs. First the good points. The location cannot be bettered, right on the lake & a short walk to the lifts etc. The dining room has large windows overlooking the lake & there is... More

We stayed at the Terrachu for a week in February. The main outstanding thing was the food. We had full board, so we got a breakfast (buffet and fried English), afternoon tea and a full three course dinner. The dinner especially was really excellent - couldn't fault it at all and much better than any of us were expected. The... More

We have just returned from a fantastic weekends skiing in Tignes, based at the Terrachu. Having read the previous Jan 08 review of this hotel, I was apprehensive. There was no need! We arrived late and were shown to our room, which was accessed from an outside walkway. This was actually a bonus as it meant that the rooms were... More

Myself and my 3 children have just returned from spending Christmas and New Year at Le Terrachu and it was an horrendous experience. The room described by the tour operator on their website as a quad rood was simply too small for 4 people. You could barely turn around in the bathroom. There was no storage for clothes and ski...
