We were in no 9 - a bit dirty, a bit cramped but not too bad. The food was tasty - hearty & plentiful with free table wine with dinner and food for veggies too. Breakfast & afternoon tea were good too & the staff were friendly.
The bedrooms are small with 2 single beds and not much room for your things. The place sleeps 12 people and some rooms have ensuite.
It is at the top of town - a good 10 minute walk uphill from the centre and about 100 yards from a track to the piste - not ski in-ski-out. To get back, use the Plein Sud or 3 Vallees 1 lift and follow the blue down below the avalanche stops.
Val Thorens is good for those who can ski and OK for beginners, but the easy slopes were crowded.
