The Hotel is in a great position ,Ski in and out, the room was very good and clean, the staff friendly, Our gripe was that the dinner menu was very pretentious , no salad or veg, portions very small ,the courses were a work of art rather than substantial . more

myself and a group of friends have just returned from a great holiday in val thorens. the highlight of the trip had to be this hotel. its a four star hotel in a ski resort, and was good value for this rating. it is important to remember that in ski resorts some of the star ratings are not the same... more

Ok lets get the rooms out of the way. Yes they are dated and the bathroom suite was brown. But they were always clean and had decent space and storage for a Ski resort Hotel. Ski Locker Room Best I have used thus far, a labelled locker per room, Nice and dry with plenty of seating, open door, goe down... more

The place is in need of substantial refurbishment. We had a family room for just the two of us, and it was still small, Chipped bath, wardrobe with chunks of veneer missing, heating consisted of two small electric radiators, bath tap cover fell off, no proper shower, sink drain plug broken. No proper heating for boots in the ski room... more

Booked directly with the hotel. Short stay, only 3 nights. Was a last minute decision. One of my better ones! Val Thorens is traffic free, dropped off bags and parked in P2 a short walk away. Staff extremely helpful. Room not luxurious but still very good. Balcony overlooking the main piste. Food excellent, 5 courses! Ski locker exits to decking,... more

just home from this hotel. Its our 5th ski trip, and we won't be going anywhere else next year. From the warm welcome, and evening meal on our late arrival (huge traffic queue to get into Vals Thorens, common if the weather is poor), to the bar staff and restaurant staff, we felt we where looked after . The rooms... more

We (2 adults and 9yr old) stayed here for half term week in a "family room". (not big enough for 4) It was on the -4 level which was same a ski locker room and meant we walked to end of corridor, got skis, out the door and were on the slope. Couldn't be better. The rooms are basic 3... more

What an amazing hotel! The position was fabulous, the staff were wonderful and couldn't do enough for us, the food was delicious, each of the five courses each and every night...so good was it that we booked to stay on an extra week and have booked again for next year. In the 30 years that I have been travelling I... more

We stayed here in late Jan/Feb 2006. It is one of the best hotels we have stayed at. The staff were incredibly friendly, kind, efficient and provided a great service. We stayed on a half-board basis and the food every evening was absolutely fantastic - in taste and presentation. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the ski-in/ski-out facility was... more
