Ok lets get the rooms out of the way. Yes they are dated and the bathroom suite was brown. But they were always clean and had decent space and storage for a Ski resort Hotel. The place is in need of substantial refurbishment. We had a family room for just the two of us, and it was still small, Chipped bath, wardrobe with chunks of veneer missing, heating consisted of two small electric radiators, bath tap cover fell off, no proper shower, sink drain plug broken. Booked directly with the hotel. Short stay, only 3 nights. Was a last minute decision. One of my better ones! Val Thorens is traffic free, dropped off bags and parked in P2 a short walk away. just home from this hotel. Its our 5th ski trip, and we won't be going anywhere else next year. We stayed here in late Jan/Feb 2006. It is one of the best hotels we have stayed at. The staff were incredibly friendly, kind, efficient and provided a great service.
