We spent one night in at the Central Hotel in Bamberg in January 2009. The staff were excellent, the rooms were no better or worse than one would expect and the location was good. Breakfast was okay but not great, but they also provided a free internet service that was very convenient, so we were pleased. We had seen various... more

There are some very good things about this hotel. Its location - its a 15 minute walk from the train station, is literally in front of the main bus terminal and is an easy 10 minute walk to the center of town.
